I will reiterate my earlier post about not having much time to update our blog. It's still true. But I am attempting tonight - we'll see how much I can even remember to include! New pictures can be found in our web albums - www.picasaweb.google.com/minnesotazimmermans. The July, August, and New Home Site albums all have new pictures in them.
You'll see in the picture above our new firepit in our future paver patio (still just gravel right now) and our new grass in the background. Yes! We have grass! And a sprinkler system watering it every day so it doesn't die in the summer heat. Although the picture above is showing a cool night :) It was a fun first campfire, with Sarah getting all sticky and Trevor scorching his marshmallows until they were ash. We might have to take out stock in firewood, with as much fun as the kids had and will want to do it again and again.
I should note that Michael was safely in bed during the campfire... there's no way we'll let him near a campfire for a very long time. He's a very busy boy - once he started walking, just before his first birthday, he's hardly slowed down. Now at 13 months, he's busier than ever. He loves to play with his big brother and sister and is probably the loudest of the three. Currently he is getting all 4 eye teeth AND all 4 first-year molars, which leads to lots of drooling. And because of the teething, his hands are in his mouth all the time, so he has a perpetual runny nose from all the germs he's fighting. Ah, good times.
Next for Sarah's update... Our little princess is getting ready to start preschool - yea! She will be at Trinity Lutheran in Waconia. We are looking forward to her being in a classroom setting where she can learn to focus a little more, put toys away, and try new things. We struggle daily to get her to try things, such as putting on her own shoes, opening the baby gate, putting on/taking off her clothes - she is soooo stubborn! It probably has to do with not being the baby anymore. Hoping that being a "big kid" in preschool get her moving.
And Trevor is moving on up, too. Starting kindergarten and riding the school bus soon! He'll be in afternoon kindergarten at Bayview Elementary in Waconia, and will be in the same class as his cousin, Noah, and his friend, Cole, from soccer. He's got a second loose tooth and has been riding his bike without training wheels or any help. Growing up!
That's all for now. Check the web albums for pictures!
