28 week ultrasound

Here are pictures from the ultrasound we had last week. (Sorry for the delay in getting them posted!) The first picture shows the profile of the baby (the head is on the right side, tummy on the left, and arm reaching above the head). The second picture shows two sweet little feet tucked under the body. To answer your question, we again did not find out if it's a boy or a girl. We'll just have to be surprised when he or she arrives in July. The placenta has moved a bit, so that was good news. Hopefully it should continue to move up and not cause any problems.

House update - Did you know we're trying to sell our house? It's been on the market since mid-March, and while we've had a lot of people looking, we've had to offers yet. We are trying to mentally prepare for the baby being born before we're in a new house. Could get pretty crowded! We're still keeping an eye on properties for sale in our area, so that when (think positive!) we get an offer, we'll be able to quickly find and make an offer on a new house of our own!

Kids update - Sarah is talking all the time and is very assertive about what she wants and doesn't want. She is addicted to movies and is constantly asking to watch one, which ususally ends in us giving in or her throwing a temper tantrum if she doesn't get her way. Trevor is in his last few weeks of preschool for the year and has been learning so much. He wants to play with friends all the time, which is tough to allow since we're trying to keep the house clean and picked up (in the event of a showing), as well as working around Sarah's afternoon nap. And he doesn't understand why we can't invite ourselves over to someone else's house. It's hard to be 4-1/2. Also, since he will have just turned 5 at the end of August, we are not sending him to kindergarten just yet. He'll be attending a different preschool class with other 4 and 5-year-olds 4 afternoons a week, 3 hours a day. We're looking forward to tee ball this summer, as well as lots of trips to the park.

Next adventure on the horizon (as if we didn't have enough to think about) - We are going on a road trip to New Orleans in May! John has the opportunity to attend a conference for work, so we're all going as a family. We are driving our new minivan (yes, we know we might be crazy to attempt this!) and will get to see ALL 3 of our brothers and all the grandparents, as well. It's going to be lots of fun!

That's all for now. If I can get my act together I'll take some pictures of the kids and get them posted soon. But don't hold your breath.
