So we thought we'd take the kids out fishing on Lake Susan yesterday. Needless to say, we didn't catch a thing, except a lot of stares from other boaters wondering why the little girl on our boat was screaming her head off. We still don't know the answer to that question, but it was made all better when we finally gave up fishing and just kicked the motor into high gear and sped around the lake. I think it will be a long time before we take Sarah on the boat with us again.
It started out fine...
we even let her play in the minnow bucket ("fishies!")...
but time after time she threw herself on the floor of the boat and pitched a fit.
Luckily she was occasionally distracted by snacks and clicking her life vest buckle.
But the best part was zipping around with the wind in our hair.
