Pumpkin patch

Last weekend I had the privledge of going on a retreat with women from our church. It was an awesome weekend - a much needed break!! A week later, I am still feeling refreshed and joyful and have a much more positive outlook on the challenges that come with being the mother of 3 young children.
While I was away, John took the kids to a pumpkin patch nearby and he took a gazillion pictures. You can see them all at our October web album.

In other news, Michael reached the 15-month milestone on October 14th. He is very much the toddler these days - curious, busy, demanding, loud, almost running, throwing tantrums, etc. At his check-up he weighed 22 pounds, 4 ounces (15th %ile), and he was 30 inches tall (20th %ile). He's not saying any words, really, other than "uh-oh," which he's been saying for months. But he understands A LOT, and has been shaking his head "no" and gabbering as if he is saying very important and profound things to us. Today he had been shouting "BA" very loudly, almost singing it. Not sure what that means. But the doctor said it's pretty normal for the 3rd child to take a while to being speaking.

Also at the October web album are pictures from an outing to a nearby park yesterday. The kids have been out of school for a statewide teacher conference, so we took Trevor's buddy, Joey, with us for the afternoon. It was exhausting for me, since Michael wants to climb everywhere and run away from me. Enjoy!
