Our smallest dude is cutting teeth left and right, literally! A third bottom tooth broke through yesterday, and he will soon have two cute fangs on the top (just like Trevor had!). As you can see in the photo above, Michael is really enjoying mealtime and lets us know very loudly when we are too slow to get his food to him. This evening while John and Trevor were at the Muskie Expo, I took Sarah and Michael out to eat at an Italian restaurant. He discovered quickly how much he likes shredded cheese (from my salad) and garlic toast (just kidding, I peeled the garlic butter part off). He also discovered that he could get MORE and MORE bread and cheese by grunting and yelling. It was probably a good thing the restaurant was not crowded!
In other "toothy" news, Trevor has his first loose tooth!! We've been watching one on the bottom for a while, noticing it was starting to lean to the side a little. All it took has a firm bump from his top teeth today and it started wiggling. He is sooo excited and is, of course, obsessing over his tiny tooth. How does it come out? When? Will it hurt? We'll be sure to post a picture of the missing-tooth grin as soon as it finally falls out.
And I would be remiss to not mention the wonderful past few days Sarah has had potty training. While I do have to challenge her still sometimes to go to the bathroom (taunting her that I'm going to the potty), she is getting better about telling me when she has to go, AND she's done #2 in the potty the last 3 times!! Let's hope I haven't jinxed myself by talking about it, but I am just so proud of her for finally starting to get the hang of it. She even asked to go the bathroom at the restaurant tonight!!
As always, check out the web albums for more springtime pictures :)
