Construction has begun!

Construction on our new home began this past Thursday. Here is a picture of Day 1, when they started digging the basement. Trevor and I drove out to see the diggers on Thursday and then again today to see what progress has been made. The foundation should be done in the next few days and then the framing will begin. Our Picasa web album has the pictures so far (mostly of piles of dirt and the excavator!) and we'll continue to add to the album throughout the process.
In other news, John is deer hunting this weekend with his Uncle Tim. The kids and I spent Friday while he was away with Aunt Jan. We went to the Minnesota Children't Museum, where the kids played and played and played for about 4 hours! Except Michael - he slept and slept and slept! It was a lot of fun for them and thankfully there were no meltdowns. A few pictures are in our November web album. I somehow managed to get mostly pictures of Sarah and practically none of Trevor, which is the opposite of what usually happens.
