Sold!

Pending an inspection and a few other milestones, we have sold our house! We close on July 29th - yes, that's one month from today! It's great news, but frightening, too, since in the meantime we will have a baby and have to find a new house. We are preparing ourselves for the prospect of needing to rent another place until we find and close on a new property. After all, we don't want to rush into buying a house when we plan to be in it for a long long time.

In other random news, Sarah has given up her nuk (pacifier). This is actually quite big news for us, since she has been a nuk junkie for a while, needing to have at least one (and sometimes more than that) to get to sleep. It came about last week, when after losing one nuk up at the lake, the last remaining one got a big hole in it and I threw it away (when do kids stop chewing on everything?). We were matter of fact about not being able to find one for her, and she managed to get to sleep. On the flipside, this is the 4th day in a row that she has refused to take an afternoon nap, which I fear may be because she has a hard time getting settled during the day. Oh well, I can't have everything I wish for!

As for baby #3, we had a good checkup last Friday. For those interested in the details, all vitals were good, including baby's heartbeat at 141 bpm (sounds like a boy!). Also, 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced. Though the technical due date is July 16, it's no surprise I'm hoping for things to get started a bit earlier than that!

That's all for now - not that we need any other adventures!
