The day has finally arrived - Trevor is four today! I think he was a bit confused by this, because his party was this past Saturday. So when he got more gifts this morning and had special treats all day, he thought it was a different birthday - that he had surpassed 4 and was on to his 5th birthday! I think we've gotten it all straightened out. Of course, we're having family over for a cookout this coming weekend, and he'll get gifts then, too. By then maybe he'll think he's 6.
Anyway, it's been a fun time. He had 4 friends over and they all had a great time. John set up an obstacle course in the backyard and they each got a bag of treats for completing it. We went all out and got the family size bag of Cheetos (Trevor's favorite these days), as well as crazy straws for the kids to use with their juice. Of course, at least two spills occurred. And the funniest part that was over way too quickly was the water balloon bombing. The kids got to throw water balloons off the deck at John. They had a blast and were all very bummed when the balloons were gone. But they just went and did the obstacle course again.
Today, on Trevor's actual birthday, John took the day off. Trevor got to pick where he wanted to eat for breakfast (Original Pancake House) and dinner (McDonalds). He also had his last swim lesson of the summer and got to go shopping for new shoes. All in all it was a good day.
Be sure to click on the picture above to go to our Picasa web album with pics from the party and a few from tonight at McDonald's. Also, I'm sure we'll add some more pictures after the family gathering this weekend.
